What is normal hair?

Normal hair is hair that is neither very oily nor very dry: the scalp feels balanced a day or two after washing, and the lengths are soft and shiny without much frizz or breakage. The Normal Hair Conditioner is made to keep it that way, adding light moisture and slip without weighing it down. Normal hair can still get drier at the ends from heat, sun or coloring, so regular conditioning keeps it healthy-looking.

How do I use the Normal Hair Conditioner?

After shampooing, apply the Normal Hair Conditioner to wet hair from the mid-lengths to the ends first, then work what is left through the roots and crown. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb, starting at the ends and moving up. Leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Conditioning may not be needed every day, so adjust to your routine, and finish with a cool rinse for shine.

How often should I condition my hair?

Most people do well conditioning every time they shampoo, and the Normal Hair Conditioner is light enough to use that often. If your hair is normal, two or three times a week is usually enough, and on the days you skip shampoo, you can co-wash with conditioner instead. Very dry, curly or color-treated hair may like conditioner more often, while fine or oily hair may need less. Always focus it on the ends.

Can I co-wash with the Normal Hair Conditioner?

Yes. You can use the Normal Hair Conditioner as a co-wash once or twice a week, depending on your routine. Wet your hair well, massage a generous amount into your scalp, work it through to the ends and rinse thoroughly. It cleanses gently while adding moisture, which keeps hair soft between shampoo days. Keep shampooing regularly too, so your scalp stays clean and free of buildup.

Can I use the Normal Hair Conditioner as a pre-shampoo treatment?

Yes. Mix the Normal Hair Conditioner with a few drops of your favorite oil, such as our Jojoba Oil, and apply it to dry or damp hair before shampooing, focusing on the lengths and ends. Leave it on for a few minutes, or longer for extra softness, then shampoo and condition as usual. This pre-treatment helps the ends stay softer and easier to detangle through the wash, especially if your hair is long or colored.

Which shampoo should I use with the Normal Hair Conditioner?

Our Normal Hair Shampoo is made to go with the Normal Hair Conditioner, and you can buy the two together as our Normal Hair Duo. The shampoo is gentle and sulfate-free, so it cleanses normal hair without stripping it, and the conditioner then adds softness and shine to the lengths. Shampoo first, rinse well, then condition from the mid-lengths to the ends. About every two weeks, our Vinegar Rinse Cleanser helps remove buildup.

Will the Normal Hair Conditioner weigh my hair down?

No. The Normal Hair Conditioner is lightweight, and it is free from silicones, so it rinses clean and does not build up on the hair over time. Lighter oils like Carrot Seed and Grapeseed add silky softness without greasiness. Apply most of it to the mid-lengths and ends, rinse thoroughly, and use a little less if your hair is fine. The Cetyl Alcohol in the list is a fatty alcohol that softens and does not dry the hair.

Can men use the Normal Hair Conditioner?

Yes. The Normal Hair Conditioner is made for men and women and all hair types, from straight to curly. It softens and detangles without a heavy feel, so it suits short hair as well as long hair. I’m so pleased with this normal hair conditioner! I also use the shampoo and conditioner for gray hair and love it… however, I read that I shouldn’t be using it daily. So I bought both the normal shampoo and conditioner. Couldn’t be happier! I used this conditioner for the first time yesterday. The reviews are so true when they say that this conditioner is great. The smell is very citrusy. The only conditioner I use. I have armpit length, thick curly hair. I try to keep it stretched until to prevent tangles and single strand knots. Detangling my hair wet or dry is a nightmare. I use this product as a conditioner and sometimes as a co-wash.I mix this conditioner with coconut oil, olive oil, and castor oil and apply as a deep conditioner. This conditioner doesn't coat my hair, leaves it clean, and bouncy. I will not stray from using this splendid conditioner.

I love this conditioner for my thick mid length hair. I have tried many other conditioners that have made my hair sticky, hard and dry. I love that this conditioner is super thick and rich.
